Alder Grove Healing Arts Center
What’s in a name, and why this move…

I am so excited to announce my joining Alder Grove Healing Arts Center. I have loved being in private practice but I have always sought out community in this work. I am taking a great jump and moving into a formal group of private practitioners. Alder Grove is a group of practitioners who believe in the restorative power of relationships and who have exemplary skills in their fields. So far we are psychotherapists, naturopaths, massage therapists and acupuncturists. Alder Grove Healings Arts Center is a very intentional name for a group of practitioners coming together to practice is the spirit of community and natural healing and restoration.

Alders are native northwest trees known for their resilience and readiness to grow back after fire. Alders grow in groves, just as we imagine our group; we are each growing professionally and personally from our relationship to each other and our complementary disciplines, natures and strengths… offering resilience to our clients and each other.

Celtic tradition speaks of the Alder as mystical, calming, and strengthening to all aspects of the self. All traditions of the world know the power and essence of trees, their healing oils, their rootedness and their reaching for the skies sun and rain, and metaphorically exemplifying individuals in community reaching toward life.

Alder wood is water resistant so it makes good containers, structures, homes, dams. It is our fervent desire to feel our selves supported and contained by each other professionally, so that we can offer that containment for healing, wellness and good things to grow from deep within each person, family, and community.

In this spirit we offer our strengths to our community.
